Adaptive Downhill

We are excited to continue this partnership with Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports to produce the Adaptive Downhill Race at the 2023 Fox US OPEN of Mountain Biking. Registration is now open, with detailed information coming soon.

The Killington Resort Bike Park trails will be open to the public and available to ride throughout the week. There will be a mandatory practice session on Sunday morning prior to the race.

  • Valid lift ticket and number plate required to gain access to the racecourse on Sunday.

  • Practice is mandatory. Racers must take at least one practice run.

  • All individuals with a disability can enter the race.

  • Racers are expected to be comfortable with rocks, roots, and maneuvering turns in the woods. Off road riding ability is mandatory.

  • Off road mountain bikes should be mechanically sound & made for rocky/rooty/dirt terrain.

  • Competition classes will be announced based on entries.

  • Personal Tail Riders are mandatory. If you need one, we will assign one to you on race weekend. Please be in touch with felicia@vermontadaptive.org in advance if needed.

  • There will be limited mechanical assistance for malfunctions and repairs so come prepared and carry supplies needed for basic bike repair.
